finance

High-performance analytical platform for in-depth stock market research, offering unprecedented control over financial data processing, transformation, and visualization.

Role & Architectural Challenge

For Barnam, my mission was to design an interface capable of managing complex data flows. As a tool for high-level professionals where precision is paramount, the design had to support intense focus and error-free execution.

The platform allows users to manually select their data sources and specific stock exchanges, such as Nasdaq or NYSE. I designed a context-switching system that enables seamless work across various segments of the global economy within a unified workspace.

Filtering in Barnam goes far beyond standard parameters. Users can build complex queries – such as isolating companies that launched IPOs in 2020 providing surgical precision for their analytical datasets.

Custom Formulas & Data Transformation

A standout feature is the ability to write custom mathematical formulas for metric calculations. I created an editor interface where users can transform raw data using their own algorithms, tailoring the platform to their specific investment strategies.

Visualizing Logic

To clarify complex workflows, we implemented a Whiteboard feature. This visual environment allows users to map the entire data lineage: seeing exactly how data flows through various transformation stages before being rendered into final charts.

Designing Barnam required a low-noise, high-density interface. Every control was strategically placed to provide instant access to sophisticated analytical tools while minimizing cognitive load during long-term data interaction.

Multi-Layered Visualization

Barnam supports a vast array of chart types. The design challenge was to ensure visual clarity even when overlaying multiple data layers, enabling analysts to identify hidden correlations and market anomalies with ease.
